Getting paid on time, every time

Getting you paid

Working within the guide lines of the HMRC we no longer employ Self Employed so we offer the traditional PAYE which has the benefits of holiday pay and the like. However for the Trades People we offer PAYE Umbrella Service via our Partners at Crest Construction Umbrella Services, we have worked with Crest for over 10 years and find they offer the best value for money.

In order to avoid any complications please make sure you are aware of the rules and guidelines set for all employees and contractors with ourselves and any contracted companies we have participation agreements with. We are here to assist you with problems encountered; however it is YOU who has the responsibility to make sure you understand these rules and guidelines.

Crest Construction Umbrella Services

Umbrella companies are a contracting solution designed for employees working on short-term assignments of less than 24 months in any industry sector on a PAYE basis.

Managerial control of the company rests with the Umbrella Company, and therefore you are not involved in any way with the obligations placed on the company in relation to taxation, the Companies Act Requirements or other regulatory red tape.

Becoming an Umbrella Company employee gives you the peace of mind and benefits of being an employee, and also the flexibility of finding your own short-term assignments through recruitment agencies.

Umbrella Company employees are paid on a PAYE basis, thus ensuring that you benefit from the right to all normal statutory entitlements, including Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Paternity Pay, Adoption Pay and Holiday Pay (in most cases 28 days inclusive of public holidays).

As an Umbrella Company employee, you are entitled to claim for legitimate business expenses incurred while working on assignments for the Umbrella Company.

A wide-ranging expenses policy will ensure, as far as possible within Government guidelines, that you are reimbursed, tax free, for all expenses associated with the delivery of your services on behalf of the Umbrella Company.

In order to comply with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) rules, expenses can only be paid without deducting tax if they are incurred wholly, exclusively and necessarily in the performance of your duties and if the site where you are conducting your assignment is considered to be a temporary workplace. If you do not claim, you may be missing out. No expenses incurred for private or non-business purposes are allowable.
